Do you use StumbleUpon? I had heard of it a long time ago, but recently started stumbling again. Basically it’s a way to discover new blogs and websites that match your interests. You can follow certain stumblers or based off your designated interests, you click “stumble” and you will be brought to a new potentially interesting blog post or website. It’s a really fun way to discover new things and you can get sucked in. Also once your blog or blog post has been “liked” be a Stumbler you will likely get lots of new traffic and visitors.
Want to see what I have stumbled upon lately? Search for “beingmichelle” or you can go to my StumbleUpon page.
Are you a Stumbler? Leave your name so I can follow you!
Want me to visit your page and add it to my StumbleUpon list? Add a recent post from your blog, or one that is a favorite. I’ll add you to my stumble upon list.

This blog is in it’s early development with only 2 weeks of writing so far. It’s a fun, but new experience. I’m so used to blogging about just weddings and it’s weird to suddenly have a blank slate with no specific theme. I’m developing my voice, figuring out what people want to hear about, doing my best to post on a regular basis and get back into reading and commenting on blogs. Any thoughts? Let me know.
Just this week I’ve come across 2 blogs that I will be reading to help me on my blogging journey. I’m not a professional blogger by any means but I think the wise words from these 2 sources will make me better. I thought maybe you’d find them useful for your own blogging experience as well.
Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs has started a new blog called Edit and Post. Already, so much great content that is easy and entertaining to read. I feel like I’ve already picked up on some basics that I missed the first time around, like what different types of hosting there are and why you’d use them. Applying The Bachelor to blogging? I’m in. Go read now.
The other pieces of advice come from the Marta Writes, The Dear Diary Stories. Just this week she is doing a workshop on the blog regarding blogging and business. She has some insightful posts on figuring out why you blog, blogging jealousy and lots of expert advice so far and there is lots more coming. Look at the agenda here.
What has helped you develop your blog? How do you decide what to write about?
